8 things

I remembered seeing some friends fill this out long ago but I only just now felt like filling it out cause I'm not tired but I feel like writing a blog post.

RULES
1. Post rules on your Blog.
2. Answer the six "8" items.
3. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving them a comment.

8 FAVORITE SHOWS
I hope shows can be movies because actually I don't know if I've ever watched a total of 8 TV shows in my life.
1. Edward Scissorhands
2. The Rocketeer
3. The Last Unicorn
4. The Princess Bride
5. Hook
6. Saved By the Bell Seasons One and Two
7. Saved By the Bell Seasons Three and Four
8. Saved By the Bell Seasons Five (uh...this is really hard...I don't watch much. All the shows I like to watch are nostalgic ones from my childhood.)

8 THINGS I DID YESTERDAY
1. Tutored Bernard at Missionaries of Charity's Daya Dan, a home for orphaned boys with disabilities
2. Rode a taxi, and several autorickshaws, and a cycle rickshaw. And walked out on one, incidentally, because the driver was bizarrely trying to get me to sit next to him on his seat instead of the back like usual, so I left (easy to do since there are no doors).
3. Dressed in a lovely outfit of a salwar kalweez. A long maroon shirt with beads on it, and billowy yellow pants, with a yellow scarf slung on backwards. I love Indian clothing.
4. Ate my favorite breakfast, aloo parantha. Spicy potato-filled bread with plain yogurt and sugar
5. Held a business meeting with my partner
6. woke up super early (for me) which is 7:30.
7. listened to Grooveshark. Current plays are Alanis Morissette, The Cranberries, Muse
8. Finished up a book on marriage from the 1930's; it was entertaining

8 THINGS I LOOK FORWARD TO

1. As always, the next trip. Thailand/Cambodia is the next plan
2. Having a home of our own which hopefully will include a recording studio, a large kitchen, a beautiful back yard with a garden, a recreation room, offices for Jacob and I, and a gym. It will also hopefully be located in the center of a large city while still providing plenty of space and privacy. I know, a tall order.
3. Talking to family and friends on the phone
4. End of world hunger
5. Speaking of which, the end of my hunger via my next meal
6. Seeing Jacob when he gets home from the gym
7. Sleeping after volunteering
8. Learning something new

8 FAVORITE RESTAURANTS
1. Thai Ruby's
2. Cassandra's
3. Olive Garden
4. Salt Lake City Center in Kolkata
5. Our cook
6. Any Berlin restaurant
7. Any place that serves chips and salsa
8. Anything ethnic/unusual

8 THINGS ON MY WISH LIST
I wish...
1. That people everywhere could be afforded the basic necessities of life. This includes adequate nutrition, clean water, health care, freedom, equality, and education--what most of us take for granted but really are denied to the majority of the world's inhabitants
2. I sometimes wish that people I loved didn't change
3. that people didn't smoke because I have allergies
4. that I could finally formulate an idea for the book I'd love to write someday
5. that everyone would start their own online business because they would love it
6. that I could meet Jesus or Mother Teresa or Julie Andrews or Tim Feriss or Gordon B Hinckley or Benjamin Franklin or Margaret Mitchell or other people who have lived inspiring lives
7. That everyone could meet the love of their life like I have
8. that I were witty.

8 PEOPLE TO TAG
I am so behind on this that I don't dare tag anyone. I figure this is out-of-date. But do it if you like.

I'm behind again on commenting, but I do love your blog! I also think you look beautiful in the Indian clothing. I also love how much you love India. It is so evident in everything you write about it. You could write your book about your stay in India. Or any of your other travels. Or all of them. Remember how I say your life seems like a movie? You could really pick anything and write about it. I'd read it. Okay, now I'm rambling. Miss ya!

I agree with Andrea in all she said. You should write about something to do with India. The little bit you have written in previous entries actually made me want to jump on a plane and go to India. I haven't felt that about the other places you've been--well maybe Turkey?

My most important comment today is H A P P Y A N N I V E R S A R Y !! The two years together have been quite the ride. None of us knew what was coming on April 19, 2008. We knew it would be something good, but didn't realize it would be THIS good!

Congrats Kalli & Jacob! We're so happy for you.
